DRIVER

Applications are invited for the position of driver at the Australian High Commission. The applicant should be proficient in the use of four wheel drive vehicles. The completion of defensive and operational driving courses and a sound knowledge of vehicle mechanics would be an advantage. The successful applicant should be familiar with driving in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Punjab and NWFP.

Qualifications Required
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive Information supporting each item.

1. Education: The applicant should have minimum of higher Secondary School Certificate (intermediate).

2. Experience: Preferably have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position in a diplomatic mission, the UN agencies or a similar organisation. Experience of office related filing work will be considered as an advantage.

3. Language: Good working knowledge of speaking/reading/writing English is required.

4. Knowledge: Must be familiar with local traffic laws and area traffic patterns

5. Abilities & Skills: Must have a valid LTV Pakistani driver’s license. Must be able to drive safely and securely under all conditions

The position will be for one year contract (renewable) and based at the Australian High Commission in Islamabad.
